For Tippiri Gangadhar, the younger brother of 62-year-old Tippiri Thirupati, alias Devuji, it was an emotional reunion with his elder brother, whom he had not met in more than 40 years. Devuji was one among the top Maoist leader who returned to the mainstream on Tuesday (February 24, 2026).

Gangadhar said in emotionally choked voice that their decades-long anxious wait ended with Devuji’s return to the mainstream.
